Kali Puja is the single evening Kolkata's cracker demand actually peaks around, landing on the same Amavasya night the rest of India marks as Diwali but built around Kali rather than Lakshmi; sky shots and fountains dominate what gets ordered for it, ahead of anything with a sharp ground-level report.
