Green crackers use CSIR-NEERI formulations that cut particulate and gas emissions by roughly 30 percent compared with conventional crackers, and they carry a visible certification mark plus a QR code that a buyer can check rather than take on trust. The reduction is in emissions and, for many products, in sound as well, not a claim that they're silent or smoke-free; a green sparkler still sparks and a green sky shot still bangs, just within a tighter emission band than the barium-salt formulations the Supreme Court excluded outright.
