Crackers Delivery across India in Gurugram

Delivery and legality are two separate questions on most pages of this site, but for Gurugram right now they collapse into the same answer. The Supreme Court's most recent NCR-specific direction confines firecracker sale to licensed offline traders at designated points, names e-commerce platforms as excluded, and bars firecrackers entering the NCR from outside the region (SCC Online). Gurugram's district administration layers its own order on top, having alternated between a complete ban on sale, storage, manufacture, transport and use and a green-crackers-only relaxation in recent seasons (Hindustan Times).

Two national orders set the floor here. Supreme Court, 23 Oct 2018 (WP(C) 728/2015): permitted manufacture/sale of green crackers, banned barium-salt and joined crackers, limited Diwali bursting to a ~2-hour window (commonly 8–10 PM). Check both layers fresh for 2026: the district notification for the local sale and use position, and the NCR Supreme Court order for whether licensed offline sale is running. Delivery across India to a Gurugram address is not part of either layer as things currently stand.

If and when delivery across India to Gurugram is permitted under the 2026 position, two things would make it different from a standalone Haryana town. First, the city's high-rise societies on Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and the Dwarka Expressway corridor run their own security and parcel-drop procedures, so a courier would likely route through a society's gate desk rather than the flat door directly. Second, Gurugram's proximity to Delhi means the same road-courier network serving the capital also serves this city, so dispatch volumes there climb together in the weeks before Diwali. Neither point matters until an order can legally be placed for this district in the first place.

Those steps describe our standard process for a city where ordering is currently permitted. They do not apply to Gurugram until the 2026 position changes; the rules section above is the deciding factor, not this checklist.
